Your holiday home in Noto
The “Pearl of the Baroque” has changed and dressed up incredibly in the last 20. The second collapse of the dome of the cathedral in 1996 was probably the low point of the late baroque town of Noto. Only about 25 years have passed, and no one would ever have guessed the rapid development Noto would undergo as a result of its designation as a World Heritage Site in 2002 and the funds and renovation work that went with it.
The palazzi built of the golden limestone shine like the citizens of Noto, who no longer have to emigrate but find work and satisfaction in many areas thanks to the enormous tourist success and the associated boom.
Instead of three ristorante and one pizzeria, which we found in 2003, the choice has become so large that as “locals” we lose track of everything. Cafe Sicilia stood out then as it does now, the quality of the gastronomy has increased incredibly, as has that of the holiday homes and accommodation.
Noto’s even greater success, compared to the equally beautiful towns of Modica, Scicli and Ragusa is, in our opinion, due to its proximity to Vendicari with its wonderful natural beaches and to Siracusa. For this reason, you will find a wonderful selection of the most beautiful and tasteful holiday homes in Sicily around Noto.
