Casa Picciula is a modern, stylish design holiday home with sea views and a small pool. The furnishings are tastefully composed of individual design pieces from the 50s to the 70s, by Hans Agne Jacobsson (tables and lamps), Anders Pehrson (lamps), Alvar Aalto (table and chairs), Tanu Toivianen (daybed), Hans J. Wegner (bed), among others. The house consists of an intelligently arranged and well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. It is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, induction cooker and air conditioning, so you will have to do without the comforts of modern life. From the roof terrace you have a spectacular view, both of the Sicilian countryside and the sea. There are 2 other houses in the immediate vicinity, so that despite the tranquillity you will not feel lonely. To Noto city you only need about 8 minutes and the beautiful sandy beaches are only 15 minutes away.
Nearer surroundings and beaches: Lido di Noto is a small holiday settlement south of Siracusa and Avola 5 km from Noto. Like all “Lido’s” in Italy it consists mainly of holiday homes which are mainly used only in July and August, some hotels and bed and breakfast, restaurants, cafèbars and two small supermarkets. The main beach of Lido di Noto is a beautiful long sandy beach with very clean water. As it remains very shallow for several hundred metres, it is very suitable for children. Directly adjacent to Lido di Noto is Eloro. Eloro was once a Greek town, today there are still some remains of walls and columns. At Eloro begins the nature reserve of Vendicarì. It is 11 km long and with its 5 beautiful sandy bays, the old “tuna factory”, the salt flats, the flamingos, cranes and pelicans a wonderful place to walk, to relax but also to swim. South of the nature reserve is the holiday resort San Lorenzo with its large beautiful sandy beach. Here you can rent sunbeds and parasols also in the season. Marzamemi is a small fishing village with a picturesque piazza. This place, which has often been the setting for various films, has become a popular weekend meeting place for the locals in recent years. In Marzamemi there are some very good Ristoranti, cafés and a nice harbour. Pachino is a lively little town, famous for its excellent cocktail tomatoes. From there it is only a few kilometres to Portopalo di Capo Passero, the south-eastern tip of Sicily. Here you can find some very good fish restaurants, the two small islands Isola di Capopassero and Isola delle Correnti and the famous beach Carratois. Along the south coast. From Portopalo to Marina di Ragusa there are beautiful wide beaches and some nice little towns. In Pozzallo there is a nice town stand with a long promenade, some Ristoranti and bars and above all a big harbour from where the ships to Malta leave. Sampieri and Cava D aliga are small seaside resorts with beautiful beaches, Donnalucato is a really worth seeing small place at the sea. Marina di Ragusa is now a lively tourist centre with a small historical centre.
