“Atanor” is a small property that is composed of three lovely units. The owner originally comes from Sardinia and has travelled a lot over the course of his life. He discovered this old farm house and have renovated it with a lot care and attention. “Atanor” is situated between Avola and Noto, slightly set back from the coast on a hilltop. The area is absolutely calm but not lonely.
“Atanor Grande” is made up of a large, open space with a kitchen, a dining area and a living room. The sleeping area is made up of a separate with a double bed, a loft with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. The unique sink can be seen from the bedroom; the WC and shower are on the left-hand side and a dressing room is on the right. The entrance to the apartment is in the inner courtyard and a garden with its wonderful Mediterranean plants opens up towards the back. Here, guests also have full access to a large terrace they can use for relaxing and organizing barbecue evenings.
“Atanor” is perfect for couples or small families who appreciate a stylish environment. Each party can enjoy their holiday without being disturbed by using the privacy of their apartment and their respective outdoor area. They can, however also make the most of other nice spots on the property and are welcome to ask the owner for tips and further information. It is also possible to rent all three apartments for a maximum of 11 people.
The next beach is 5 km away in Avola but those in search of the nicest beaches are only 20 minutes away from the nature reserve. Shopping trips can easily be done in Avola (3 km) and Noto (5 km), the latter providing everything needed for a relaxing holiday in the south of Sicily. Within a radius of 45 km are the baroque towns Noto, Scicli, Modica and Ragusa Ibla (UNESCO world cultural heritage), Siracusa with it´s unique town centre on the Ortigia peninsula and Greek amphitheatre, the natural wonder of Vendicari and it´s 5 lovely beaches, the Cava Grande, the Pantalica gorge, the limestone mountain Monti Iblei and the wonderful small town of Palazzolo Acreide – also a baroque town part of the world cultural heritage and owner of a magnificently preserved Greek theatre. A day trip – starting from Noto – to Mount Etna, Taormina or Agrigent is also possible.
