"Villa Principe" is a Liberty style villa, age-old private residence in Noto, province of Syracuse (Sicily). The villa is surrounded by a 2500 m2 park made of terraces planted with centenarian palm trees and pines as well as lemon and orange trees, and embellished by a large and beautiful swimming pool. To the back of the house there is a spacious terrace covered with permanently flowered bougainvillaea, ideal for eating and relaxing outside a great part of the year. To the other side of the house, another large terrace overlooks the pool and the city and offers a wonderful view to the bay of Noto until the southernmost point of Sicily. The villa was recently restored, it is now fully air-conditioned. The elegant living rooms and bedrooms are partly furnished with antiques. It is possible to rent the whole villa for one week (max. 10 persons). Because the villa is furnished with antiques and pressures fixtures we would appreciate when the children are older than 10 years. The location is superb, just a few hundred meters from the city of Noto, the capital of the baroque style, recently registered by UNESCO in the World Heritage List. All other baroque cities of the eastern Sicily are at less than 30 minutes driving. The villa is only 30 kms away from Syracuse where ancient Greek remains deserve at least a full day visit. Several miles of sandy beaches enjoyable from June to October are at 15 minutes driving from the villa. A bird watching reserve at Vendicari is at 20 minutes driving and let you walk hours around the swamps close to the sea to watch thousands of migratory birds about to leave to or just coming from Africa. A deep canyon with small lakes in the bottom at Cava Grande requires 20 minutes driving to reach the beginning of the footpath, then al least 2 hours hard walk to go down and come back up. Agrigento with ancient Greek Temples is at 3 hours driving. Etna and its spectacular eruptions is at 2 hours driving.
